About Vidya

Vidya Kattige is a seasoned pharmacologist and drug discovery scientist with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. She holds an M.Sc. from M.S. University, Baroda, and has conducted research at renowned research institutions such as TIFR and CRI (now ACTREC). Her scientific focus spans areas of Oncology, Immunology, pain, inflammation, dermatology and respiratory disorders, where she has led and contributed to multiple discovery programs from early-stage research to clinical development.
Vidya played a pivotal role in multiple drug discovery programs, four of which were successfully out-licensed to global pharmaceutical companies including Forest Laboratories, Eli Lilly, and Sanofi. Her expertise spans the full spectrum of small molecule drug discovery—including target evaluation, assay development, lead identification, MoA studies, biomarker validation, and regulatory documentation for clinical studies. She has helped advance five clinical candidates.
Beyond the bench, Vidya has been instrumental in building high-performing scientific teams and ensuring safe, productive lab environments. Her work reflects a rare blend of scientific rigor and operational leadership, making her a valuable asset to any innovative drug development initiative.
